Also called Red Mambo Alocasia, the dark purple leaves appear almost black. In bright light the leaves may take on a metallic sheen with purple veins showing through.
Lighting: Prefers medium to bright light. It also grows well under artificial lighting.
Watering: Water as needed, when the top inch or two of the soil dries to the touch. This plant is sensitive to overwatering.
Humidity: Being true tropicals, they love humidity, so boost moisture levels in the air if it's especially dry.
