OSC Clover Yellow Blossom

Does well on soils where the true clovers have problems. Due to its large, deep taproot and substantial root branching, it does a great job breaking up heavy or compacted soils. A good plant for bringing nutrients from deep in the sub-soil to the upper horizon. Due to its rapid growth, it is often used as part of reclamation seed mixes. Plants reach approximately 1.5 m tall at maturity but will grow to heights of 30-80 cm in their first year. This plant can self-seed readily. It provides both cover and food for many birds, flowers are attractive to bees and butterflies, and the foliage is browsed by deer.
