Philodendron pinnatifidum × melinonii
Golden Crocodile is a hybrid plant that is a mutation of the Philodendron Ring of Fire. As the new leaves emerge, they have a bronze tint before turning golden yellow. Older leaves may become lime green as they mature. This plant will eventually climb if support is provided but will also grow happily without support.
Lighting: Ideally, this plant should be positioned within 3 feet of an east or west-facing window that receives some morning or afternoon sun.
Watering: Water when the top inch or two of the potting mix starts to dry to the touch. If the plant stays wet for long periods the roots will suffocate and die, causing root rot. If you’re not sure whether your needs water it is best to wait. This plant holds up better to being too dry rather than too wet.
