Micans is a lovely variety that has purple/brown-flushed green leaves that have a velvety texture, hence its common name of Velvet Philodendron. Philodendron is a classic, and practically no-fail houseplant because it's so easy to grow. Grow philodendrons just about anywhere. As houseplants they're that easy to keep!
Lighting: The plants grow best in medium light spots, but tolerates low light exceedingly well. Keep from direct sun.
Watering: Water when the top 2-3" of soil becomes dry.
Humidity: Average household humidity levels are fine but extra humidity will boost growth.
